This guide walks you through the immediate steps to take if you suspect unauthorized activity or fraudulent behavior related to your account.
Common Signs of Fraud
- Unexpected changes to your email, password, or profile info
- Listings you didn’t create
- Messages sent from your account that you didn’t write
- Unrecognized charges or withdrawals
- Notifications of login activity from an unfamiliar device or location
How to Respond
1. Change or Reset Your Password Immediately
- Go to the WVCN login page
- Click “Forgot Password?” if you’re unable to access your account
- Create a new, strong password that you haven’t used before
If you're already logged in:
- Go to Account --> Account Details
- Update Password
2. Review Your Account Activity
- Look through your listings, messages, and settings
- Check for any changes you didn’t make or unfamiliar activity
3. Report the Issue to WVCN Support
Email cassidy@wvcreativenetwork.org with:
- A short summary of the suspicious activity
- Any screenshots that show changes or messages you didn’t make
- The date/time you noticed the issue

- Change your email password immediately
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) with your email provider
