This guide walks you through the immediate steps to take if you suspect unauthorized activity or fraudulent behavior related to your account. 

 

Common Signs of Fraud

  • Unexpected changes to your email, password, or profile info
  • Listings you didn’t create
  • Messages sent from your account that you didn’t write
  • Unrecognized charges or withdrawals
  • Notifications of login activity from an unfamiliar device or location

 

How to Respond

1. Change or Reset Your Password Immediately

  • Go to the WVCN login page
  • Click “Forgot Password?” if you’re unable to access your account
  • Create a new, strong password that you haven’t used before

  • Look through your listings, messages, and settings
  • Check for any changes you didn’t make or unfamiliar activity

 

3. Report the Issue to WVCN Support

Email cassidy@wvcreativenetwork.org with:

  • A short summary of the suspicious activity
  • Any screenshots that show changes or messages you didn’t make
  • The date/time you noticed the issue

  • Change your email password immediately
  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) with your email provider
