How to Create My Directory Listing

Once you’ve registered as a Member of the West Virginia Creative Network (WVCN), you can create your artist profile in the WVCN Artist Directory— our searchable hub where potential customers, collaborators, and partners can discover your work. 

This is a great way to boost your visibility, connect with new audiences, and showcase your creative offerings.

Submitting Your Directory Listing 

To get started with your listing: 

1. Submit An Application to Become a Member 
2. Once your application gets approved, our team will create your account and send over a welcome email with information on how to set up your profile and listing. 
3. Your listing will then be reviewed by our team and published. You will be contacted once your listing is live! 
4. Hop on to review and edit anytime 
5. Be sure to use our sharing link to send your listing with your family, friends, and network - even add your listing to your socials for full exposure! 

Filling Out Your Directory Listing 

Your directory profile helps people understand your creative identity and find you based on what you offer. Be as detailed and authentic as possible—this is your chance to shine!

Here’s what each section includes:

General Information

• Title: Your name or the name of your organization/business.
• Description: A short artist bio. Tell us about your background, your medium, your mission, or anything else you want the public to know.
• Category: Select the creative field(s) that best describe your work. You can choose more than one.

• Tags: Add keywords that describe your identity, medium, and artistic style. These improve your visibility in the directory’s search tool.

Example: I’m a watercolor painter specializing in floral pieces and custom artwork. I’m also a Latina woman, and my culture influences my work.

Suggested tags: “watercolor”, “florals”, “custom”, “latina”, “female artist”, “hispanic art”, “floral art”

Contact Info

Include ways for people to connect with you. You may add:

• Email 
• Phone Number
• Website or portfolio link 

Location

Let others know where you're based in West Virginia.

• Enter your West Virginia town.
• Optionally, add map coordinates manually.
• You can also choose to hide your location from the live map if preferred.
  
  

Media

Showcase your work visually!

• Upload images of your artwork
• Include video links (e.g. from YouTube or Vimeo) if you have recorded performances, walkthroughs, or interviews

Note: All listings are reviewed by WVCN staff before they appear live in the directory.
